Fahrenheit 451

All that I see happening today borders sensationalist fiction. It’s a scary thought; scary, but one that makes me want to act accordingly.

With such in mind, the next 10 to 15 books I’m going to suggest, may help you pierce through all this ridiculous cacophony of targeted propaganda, draconian measures and so, lift you from the blinding fear that’s inhibiting reason.

Imagine a society where to speak of, read or own books, is forbidden; knowledge, critical thinking and free speech are sneered upon and severely punished. Censorship is a common thing.

Ray Bradbury‘s work, “Fahrenheit 451“, illustrates the above thoroughly. A scenario which, let us not forget, happened in the past.

Don’t ask for guarantees. And don’t look to be saved in any one thing, person, machine, or library. Do your own bit of saving, and if you drown, at least die knowing you were heading for shore.
